Nurtured Insight was founded by registered psychologist, Cassie Neville, who  has been a practicing psychologist in regional Victoria since 2004. She has extensive experience working with children, young people and their families, having worked across multiple settings including Child & Adolescent Mental Health, Education and Private Practice.

Cassie's passion for School Psychology and early intervention/prevention for mental health wellbeing, has driven her career to focus on delivering high quality School Psychology Services, whilst  offering supervision and consultancy to other professionals within this field of work.

Cassie has worked in Secondary Education as a School Psychologist for 12 years, and has recently began part-time employment in Primary Education as a School Psychologist. She also works part-time in a local Private Practice, offering therapeutic services to children and families.

Cassie has been a Board Approved Supervisor since 2016, and has provided formal Supervision to Intern Psychologists accessing the 4+2 Pathway to registration.

My Philosophy

Cassie's core theoretic framework centres around four main areas: Attachment Theory; Trauma Informed Practice (relational  trauma and the neurosequential impact on development); Emotional Intelligence (also known as Social Emotional Learning), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. With these foundations in place, Cassie utilises her experience and knowledge of working with children, families and the greater context of schools and communities, to assist in understanding the best-practice models to equip our next generation with the skills they need to succeed emotionally.

Cassie draws on her personal philosophies from a number of key research areas, professionals and authors, such as the work by Brene' Brown, Simon Sinek, Eckhart Tolle, Dr Russ Harris, Daniel Goleman and Marc Brackett. This will be seen in the work that she does with individuals as well as organisations, and a comprehensive list of resources and websites can be accessed here.

Most importantly, Cassie lives in the Regional area of Albury-Wodonga with her partner Steve, and is the mum of two busy  young  boys! She enjoys being outside, walking the hills, trying new things, with a focus on exercise and holistic health to fill her energy supply!
